The Wellington Leader January 3, 1946

Mrs. F. B. Crabtree, 85 died at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. W. R. Orr, in Wellington December 23. Her home was in Amarillo.

Mrs. Crabtree had fractured her hip in a recent fall, but prior to that time she was unusually active for her age and maintained a keen interest in affairs about her.

She moved to McLean 40 years ago with her family and lived there until the death of her husband 21 years ago. At that time she moved to Amarillo, where three of her children live.

Mrs. Crabtree was the mother of eight children, three of whom preceded her in death. the five surviving daughters are Mrs. Orr; Mrs. Chris Bjerg, Mrs. Pearl Caldwell and Mrs. Lena Stubbs of Amarillo and Mrs. Joe Williams of Los Angeles.
