CHARLES MORRISON DIES AT AGE OF 45
Charles B. Morrison, 45, of 512 West Hagerman Street, father of 13 children, died Friday afternoon in a local hospital after a long illness. Mr. Morrison, a carpenter and a member of the First Baptist Church, had lived in Carlsbad nine years.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the West Chapel, with the Rev. J.T. Barbee, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Carlsbad Cemetery.
Survivors, besides his wife, Bertha M., and 13 children, include seven grandchildren. The 13 children are Sylvester of Los Angeles, C.B.,Jr. of Borger, Tex.; Clarence O., a student at the School of Mines, Socorro; Mrs. J.P. Hesler and Mrs. Ewell Wilkinson, both of Carlsbad, and Kenneth, Glenn, Bertha Feye, Asa B., Benita A., John, Retha Laverne and Sharon Ruth Morrison, all of Carlsbad.
Out-of-town relatives who will attend the funeral are Clyde Morrison, a brother, and his wife of Clovis; Mrs. Horace McCrary, a sister, and her husband, also of Clovis; Mr. and Mrs. George Ball of Okemah, Okla.; parents of Mrs. Morrison, and Asa Ball, a brother of Mrs. Morrison, and his wife, of Oklahoma City.
