Mildred was born February 8, 1921 in Sheboygan to Max and Rose (Keil) Strassburger.
On January 8, 1938 she was united in marriage to Vernon L. Kregel.
While in Sheboygan, Mildred worked as a supervisor at Hand Knit Hosiery (now Wigwam Mills). From 1955 to 1972 Mildred and Vernon lived in California, where she worked at Woolworth and Hang Ten Companies. They then returned to live in Sheboygan.
Vernon preceded her in death on September 12, 2002.
Mildred is survived by her son, Douglas (Karen) Kregel of Auburn, GA; grandson, Alan (Adriana) Kregel of Lilburn, GA and their children, Brandon and Brian; granddaughter, Sunny (Andrew) Lawson of Greer, S.C. and their daughter, Daisy.
Mildred will rest in peace at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
