Funeral services were held for Mrs Nellie B. (Blackie) Greenleaf, 80, of 87 Forest Street, a resident of Medford, MA for 40 years. Mrs Greenleaf died at N.E. Sanitarium after a short illness. The Rev. Lyle Bristol of The first Baptist Church conducted the funeral rites at Beals Funeral Home, 29 Governors Ave, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Greenleaf, a native of Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada, was the widow of the Roy W. Greenleaf, a Spanish-American War Veteran. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary to the Spanish-American War Veterans, the First Baptist Church, and the church's Amy Crosby Class. Surving are her two sons, Russell of Stoneham and Robert Greenleaf of Troy, NY; three daughters. Mrs. Helen Blauvelt of Melrose; Mrs Marion Rocci of the Medford adrress; and Mrs Edith Lawton of Spring Street, Medford, MA; two sisters, Mrs Edith Mavis of California and Mrs. Nina Emerson of Lowell, MA; 14 grandchildren, and 9 great-grand children.
