correct mother of Theodosia thanks to email from Russell Whitaker #47184223
Russell also sent me this:
The 9 Jun 1880 census of Pct 2, Collin county, Texas list Jonas, Theodosia E and James Batterton. James was 7 months when census was taken so he was born about Sep 1879.
The 13 Jun 1900 census of JP 4, Collin county, Texas Jonas was married to his second wife Nancy A and it does state James is Jonas son. The census states they were married for 15 years (1885) and that Nancy A had NO children.
The 21 Apr 1910 census states Jonas and Nancy A were married for 28 years (1882) and again states James is Jonas son and Nancy A had NO children.
Per census above, they states Jonas and Nancy A Batterton were married somewhere between 1882 and 1885 and Tombstone shows Theodosia E did not die until 1882.
