Marie Garrahan was born March 1844 in Ireland to James Thomas and Mary Garrahan. She immigrated to the US in 1855. She married Patrick Connelly and they resided at 516 Third AV., Altoona. Children Anna M. (Connelly) Bardsley, Maggie, John, Mary, Emma (Connelly) Adams, Thomas, Theresa, and Francis. In 1900 Maria Connelly was still living at the same address in Altoona and was a widow with 5 living children. Known siblings Patrick Garrahan, 1923 Firteenth AV., Altoona, Kathryn Lee also of Altoona, and Bridget. At the time of her death Marie was living in Columbus, Ohio. She died Sunday July 9, 1922 at 10:00 PM. Her obituary states that she died at the age of 80, but the 1900 census says that she was 55, born in March 1844. According to her obituary her funeral was held at St. Leo's Catholic Church and she was buried in St. John's Cemetery July 12th.
