Mrs Anna Knipstein, 59, of Madison Township was killed and her husband, Charles, seriously hurt at 4 pm yesterday in an auto collision it a county road intersection four miles north of Decatur. Mrs Knipstein suffered a neck fracture. Mr Knipstein, driving one of the autos involved in the accident, is a patient at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. He operates a frm three miles east and three quarters of a mile south of Hoagland. The driver of the other automobile involved was Robert Siedler, 506 Fifth Street, this city, who escaped injury. Riding with him was a cousin, Laverne, of 2126 Weisser Park Avenue, who escaped with minor injuries. The body of Mrs Knipstein was taken to the Zwick Funeral Home in Decatur and will be returned to the residence in Madison Township today. Mrs Knipstein was born in Madison Township and besides the husband is survived by five children, Otto Knipstein of Madison Township, Harold Knipstein of New Haven, Mrs Luella Stahlhut of Lake Township, Mrs Loretta Schmidt of Fort Wayne and Miss Dorothy Knipstein at home; four brothers and a sister, Henry, William and Martin Moldthan of Hoagland and Edward Moldthan of Paducah, Ky and Mrs Edward Melcher of New Haven; the mother Mrs Elizabeth Moldthan who resides a mile east of Hoagland and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday at the residence and at 2 pm at the St John's Lutheran Church at Flatrock with the Rev HW Hartenberger officiating.
