E.S. Hale, Jr., 66 died Friday, June 12 at 10:10 p.m. in Collingsworth General Hospital. Mr. Hale was born March 18, 1921, in Quanah, the son of E.S. Hale. Sr., and Claudie B. Jones Hale.

He came to Collingsworth County with his family in 1940 from Kirkland. They lived in the Aberdeen community. He married Minnie Bell Scott April 19, 1944 in Wellington. He and his family moved to Wellington in 1961. He was a farmer and farm equipment dealer. He did custom farm work across the county and was the farm equipment appraiser for Wellington State Bank for many years. His annual farm equipment auctions became the largest and best known in this area.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are his wife, Minnie Bell Hale; children, Ed Hale, James and Marsha Hale, Victor and Elaine Garza, and Saundra Hale, all of Wellington; two sisters, Mrs. Alva Hall and Mrs. Lester Scott, both of Ft. Worth; seven grandchildren, Scotty Hale, Victor Lynn Garza, Stacey Hale, Jennifer
Hale, Stephen Hale, Micheal Garza and Millie Hale, all of Wellington. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Bunny Ann, Michael Jeffety and E.S. Hale IV., and four brothers, Fred Hale, Elmos Hale, George Hale and Ernest Hale.
