FUNERAL FOR MRS. HOOD WEDNESDAY
Services For Aged Resident Arranged at Home of Daughter
Funeral services for Mrs. C. L. Hood, 80, who died Tuesday afternoon, were arranged for 2:30 o'clock Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Williams, 369 Clarksville Street, conducted by the Rev. P. F. Herndon, minister of First Christian Church, with the grandsons, Louis and Charlie Williams of Paris, John W. Williams, Jr., of Dallas, Gaines Hood of Sherman, Jack Hood of Shawnee, Okla., Charlie Hood of Dallas, and Louis Stringer of Paris, as pallbearers.
Mrs. Hood, widow of Charlie Hood, was the daughter of Gaines and Jane Biard, and had been a member of the Christian Church practically all her life. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ellie Stringer, where she had been ill some time.
She is survived by one son, Jim Hood of Paris, three daughters, Mmes. Ellie Stringer, and J.W. Williams of Paris, and Mrs. F. M. Wagner of Dallas, one brother, J. Wash Biard, and a sister, Miss Mattie Biard, both of Paris. She also leaves 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
