1845, Dec 1 - 1849 Clerk of the Inferior Court of Butts County GA
1850, Jan 12 - Jan 16 1851 - Was the first tax receiver to receive commission from the state of GA to Butts County
1861, Sep. 25 - Enlisted in Confederate Army in Butts County, GA for a period of 12 months. Company known as Company I 30 Reg. Georgia Volinteer Infantry. He was a Private, Commanded by Capt John L. Barnett. Company was also known as (Old) Co, A, 39th GA Inf. and became (New) CO I of that Reg. about June 1862. The designation of the Reg. was changes to 30 Reg. GA Inf. about July 1862.
1962, May 17, - Discharged due to a disability (unknown what the disability was)
1866, Jan 11 - 1868 - Coroner of Butts County.
1895, Nov - Dec. 1896 - Postmaster of the Bare Post Office in eastern part of the County.
1902, Feb 15 - This Post Office was closed. Oldest member of Church (82yrs old.)
