PLAN JACOBITZ FUNERAL RITES
Funeral services for Mrs. Ottiele Jacobitz, who died at her home in Rogersville Wednesday will be held from the Rogersville Lutheran Church Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. O. H. Wonen of Brandon officiating. Burial will be in the Rogersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Jacobitz was born in West Prussia, Germany on Jan. 29, 1845. She was married to Carl Jacobitz July 19, 1868, and they came to America in 1872. For a short time they lived in Chicago and MIlwaukee then took up their residence in Lomira, where they remained 15 years. For the last 27 years Rogersville had been their home and it was there they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1918.
Mrs. Jacobitz succumbed to pneumonia two weeks after the death of her husband. A son, Charles, and a grandson of the deceased, other members of the family ill with the disease are still confined to their home.
Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Annie Backaus of Oakfield, Emil Jacobitz of the Town of Springvale, Miss Tillie Jacobitz and Charles Jacobitz at home.
She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Julia Dahms, of Chicago and 10 grandchildren.
