Cary M. Haynes, 92, of Kansas City, MO and formerly of Richmond, MO died at 3:02 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Kingswood Assistant Living Center in Kansas City. Cary was born on November 6, 1918 in Richmond to Charles K. and Beulah (Cary) Haynes. He married Frances L. Blaine of Richmond on February 3, 1945. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Jim Lear of Kansas City, MO; a nephew and his wife, Bob and Rita Blaine of Green Valley, AZ; and a niece and her husband, Bette and James Sullivan of Vandalia, OH. In addition to his parents, Cary was preceded in death by one brother, Harold D. Haynes. Cary worked for the Missouri State Employment Service for 38 years retiring as a supervisor in 1982. He was a member of the Kirk Presbyterian Church in Kansas City. He had lived in Richmond area before moving to Kansas City. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Monday, January 17, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery in Richmond. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
