Eleanor was born July 15, 1932 on a farm near Richmond, Missouri to Charles K. Haynes and Beulah (Cary) Haynes. Eleanor had two brothers Cary and Harold.

Eleanor married Jim Lear on March 22, 1953 in the Richmond Presbyterian Church. Eleanor and Jim are members of Village Presbyterian Church, Prairie Village, KS.

Eleanor has two sons, Bud and Bill, four granddaughters, Jessica, Kelly, Brianna & Stephanie and one grandson, Schuyler.

Eleanor attended Woodson School in Richmond for her Elementary Education and then Richmond High School. She attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Private services will be held at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 2pm followed by a public burial in Richmond Memorial Gardens in Richmond, MO, 2pm Thursday, December 17.
