MAN FATALLY HURT IN FALL OFF RAILROAD PLATFORM
Frank Beavers Partialy Blind,Plunged 45 feet At Broadway and North Market
Frank Beavers,a laborer,3707 North Nineth St, died at City Hospital yesterday of a fractured spine and internal injuries suffered Tuesday when he fell from the passenger platform of the elevated Illinois Terminal Railroad track at Broadway and North Market street. He was 42 years old.
Beavers, who was partialy blind told police he was confused the platform with a similar one he ordinarly used at Broadway and Salisbury street and walked off the end, falling 45 feet. There is a gaurd rail which extends to within 18 inches of the track."Thank you Howard Jones for this information !"
