In 1900 he and his parents and four brothers-Beryl, Alfonzo, Cyril, and Milo-lived in the Meade District of Tyler County, WV. They had a 26-year-old servant, Mary Mead, born in West Virginia, living with them. Milo was the foreman of an oil lease.

In 1910 he and his wife Clara and their son Duane lived in a house they were renting in the Harper District in Roane County, WV. He was a foreman on an oil well.

In 1920 he and his wife and their sons Duane and Glenn lived in a house they were renting in Caney Township, Montgomery County, KS. He was a foreman in the oil fields.

By 1930 he and Clara had divorced. He lived in a hotel at 200 East Second Street in Bartlesville, OK and did art work, although what kind is not known.
