Joyce G. Tweedy, 75, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010, in Topeka, KS.

She was born May 30, 1935, in Columbus, the daughter of Carl Lee and Nellie E. Robertson Brown and had resided in Winchester, IN, most of her life.

She retired in 1999 from Anchor Container in Winchester.

Joyce married Ned Eugene Tweedy Sr. May 20, 1978, in Muncie. He preceded her in death July 18, 1982.

Survivors include her children, "Joy" Crickett (Chad) Johnston and Vince L. King, both of Silver Lake, KS; three grandchildren, Stewart King and Chelsey and Cassie Johnston; three great-grandchildren; and several close relatives in Muncie, Indianapolis and Columbus.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue in Muncie. Calling will be from noon until service time Friday. Burial will be at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to assist with funeral expenses, in care of Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
