Also surviving are three brothers, Ben, Ralph and Urban, all Celina; four sisters, Rose Becher and Mary Becher, both Chattanooga, Mrs. Frank Abrams, Fostoria, and Mrs. Frank Spriggs, Celina.
He was a retired harness maker and a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church. He was appointed to serve on the Celina Council from Jan 13, 1942 until Dec 31, 1943, and was elected councilman in November 1945 and served thru 1949.
Funeral services were at the church, with Rev. F.T. Flortstedt, officiating.
