Veterinarian Dies At 67

CELINA - Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lutheran Church in Celina for Dr. Ralph W. Schlenker, 67, Celina veterinarian, who died at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday in Otis Hospital following a brief illness. The Rev. F. T. Florstedt will officiate with burial in North Grove Cemetery.

Dr. Schlenker was born in Liberty Township, Mercer County, and when a small child moved to Celina with his parents.

Dr. Schlenker was military aide to Gov. Martin L. Davey during his two terms as governor.

He was a graduate of the Kansas City Veterinarian School in Missouri with the class of 1910 and was a member of the Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge F & AM 241, a charter member of the American Legion Post 210 and a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his widow, Marie; one brother, Urban of Celina; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Becker of Chattanooga, and Mrs. Frank Spriggs of Celina.

Friends may call at the Vale Funeral Home in Celina after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
