Edith E. Winters, 73, 233 Arch St., Ephrata, widow of Richard E. Winters, died Saturday morning in the Ephrata Community Hospital after an illness of six months.
Her husband died in 1946.
Born in New Holland, she was a daughter of the late Serenus H. and Emma N. Caskey Esbenshade. She had lived in Ephrata for the last 14 years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ephrata, the Ephrata Golden Years Club and the Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley, Ephrata.
She was a retired employee of the Walter W. Moyer Co., Ephrata.
Surviving are a son, Richard D., Fredericksburg RD 1, a daughter, Ann W., wife of John M. Sheeham, Wilton, Conn., and six grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Rutter, Airstock Nursing Home Leola; Mrs. Ruth C. Zanders, Willow Street Nursing Home; Mrs. Grace E. Whitmer, New Holland, and Mrs. Mary E. Schwartz, Lampeter.
