-- GREAT FALLS -- The funeral for Mr. Julian Wesley "Buzz" Barwick of 300 Duke St. will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. Curtis Cameron and the Rev. Marion Dry will officiate and burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
-- Mr. Barwick, 81, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at his residence.
-- Born in Bambridge, Ga. on May 24, 1926, he was a son of the late Mosby and Pearl Durham Barwick. A graduate of Bambridge High School, Mr. Barwick was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where was a deacon and belonged to the finance committee.
-- Survivors include two sons, Larry Barwick of Pawleys Island and Albert Barwick of Wagner, S.C.; a daughter, Cindy B. Owings of Great Falls; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Margie Harrell of Bambridge, Ga., Norma Jane Lynn of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Carolyn Owens of Springdale, Ark. and Billie Merle of Forrester, Fla.
-- The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls.
-- Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, P.O. Box 297, Great Falls, SC 29055.
