A funeral Mass for James M. Barwick, 83, of Colorado Springs, Colo., former Bainbridge resident, was held Dec. 12, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colorado Springs with the Rev. Bob Epping officiating.
Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery in Colorado Springs.

Mr. Barwick died Dec. 8, 2006. A native of Bainbridge, he was a retired carpenter, with 30 years of service with Dewell Construction Company. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was preceded in death by his wife, Angelina A. Zabbo Barwick. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and building projects.

Survivors include five daughters, Patricia Lee Barwick, Sandra Kay Barwick and Carol Jean Barwick, all of Colorado Springs, Mary L. Unruh of Eugene, Ore., and Barbara Harrison of Florissant, Colo.; two sons, James M. Barwick of Littleton, Colo., and David G. Barwick of Fountain, Colo.; one brother, Julian Barwick of South Carolina; four sisters, Norma Jane Lynn and Billie M. Forrester of Florida, Margie Harrell of Bainbridge, Ga., and Carol Owens of Arkansas, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Evergreen Funeral Home of Colorado Springs was in charge of arrangements.
