T.W. McClure Rites Thursday
POST (Special) – Funeral services for Thomas W. McClure, 73, a retired Lubbock carpenter who was killed when the pick-up truck he was driving overturned at a construction detour on U.S. Highway 84 northwest of here, and are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in the Hudman Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. in Munday with Hudman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
McClure was alone in the truck. Investigating officers said the vehicle apparently went out of control. McClure was not thrown from the cab.
The mishap was registered as the first 1967 traffic fatality for Garza County, and was the first fatal traffic accident in the county since Dec. 18, 1965.
McClure who resided at 1313 E. 54th St., Lubbock, had lived in Lubbock the last 23 years. He lived in California prior to moving to Lubbock.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, four daughters, two brothers, one sister and three grandchildren.
