Frederick J. Anderson, 74, of Lafayette, died Aug. 6, 1992, at his home.

Born Sept. 25, 1917, in Colburn, he was a life resident of the Lafayette area. His marriage was on March 12, 1943, in Alexandria, La., to Peggy Lotts, who died Nov. 30,1991.

He worked for Kemmer Construction Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1977 as general superintendent.

He was a veteran of World War II. He served in the 38th Division, 113 Engineers Company C. Among the medals he was awarded was the Bronze Star for meritorious leadership in the construction of roads on the Zambales mountain range.
He was a life member of the Elks Lodge and a 55-year member of Carpenters Local 215.

Surviving are two sons, including Thomas F. Anderson of Camden; a sister; and four grandchildren.
Services were Sunday in Lafayette.
