Emmett Ray Preston, 79, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Graham. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Mixon of Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Long Hollow Cemetery in Jack County under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Emmett was born on February 2, 1931 in Jack County, Texas to the late Alvie Miles and Ruby Frances (Barnett) Preston. He married Nancy Ellen Creel on September 4, 1955 in Bunger. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2006. Emmett was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired oil refinery operator.

Survivors include: daughter, LaDonna Moren of Graham; sisters, Pearl Snyder of Corpus Christi and Eutie Reece of Muskogee, Oklahoma; brothers, Joe Preston of Bryson and Wayne Preston and wife, Donna of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Christy Stallcup of Scotland, Texas and Jason Ochoa of Arlington; 4 great grandchildren, Samantha, Seraphia, and Shilo Stallcup and Anthony Ochoa.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Al Preston.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.
