Services are pending for Josephine Marie Lueb, 85, of Carlsbad, at West Funeral Home. She died Sunday in a local nursing home.

She was born and raised in Muenster, Texas and in 1921 married the late A.H. "Pete" Lueb. They moved to Hereford, Texas and then to Carlsbad in 1936.

She was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, St. Edwards Altar Society.

Survivors include a son, Leonard, Hattisburg, Miss.; four daughters, Sister Mariam Dorothy, El Paso, Laura Morlock, Mentor, Ohio, Adeline Durham, Santa Fe, and Jackie York, Carlsbad; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Haverkamp, Mrs. Millie Fleitman, and Mrs. Mary Koezler, all of Muenster, and Sister Ann Theodore, San Antonio, Texas; and 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

Rosary services for Josephine Marie Lueb, 85, will be recited today at 7 p.m. in West Funeral Home chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Edwards Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurus Hauer officiating. Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Michael Durham, Phillip Durham, James Morlock, Danny York, Ronnie York and Cliff York.
