Vennie Auldridge, of Midland, passed away Monday, January 14, 2008.
She was born December 12, 1935, to Troy Polvadore and Fay Hagar in Lea County, New Mexico, where she was raised and educated. On May 2, 1952, she married Gilbert Doyle Auldridge in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Vennie moved to Midkiff, Texas with her husband Gilbert in 1979, when he received a promotion from El Paso Natural Gas Company. He was employed with them for 38 years before the couple settled in Midland in the early 80s.
A homemaker, Vennie loved taking care of her family. One of her favorite pastimes was reading mystery novels. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Gilbert.
Vennie is survived by her loving son Alan Auldridge and wife Piroska, of Boca Raton, Florida.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 1PM Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Philliber officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice of Midland, 911 W. Texas, Midland, Tx. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
