Elberton Star issue for Thursday 15 Nov 1900:
"Aunt Patsy Rousey died Monday afternoon at her home near Bowman. She was ninety-three years old the 8th of this month and since girlhood had been a faithful member of the Methodist Church. She has only one child living - Miss Mary Rousey, who is over fifty years old. The burial took place at Stinchcomb Church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. William Norman."
(Surviving child's name was Martha Rousey.)
Her marker is illegible, or she is buried in unmarked grave.
