Retha Virginia Hartman, of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2003. She was a longtime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and was retired from Norfolk and Western. She is survived by a brother, Robert Hartman of Roanoke, Va.; sister, Elizabeth Haynes of Washington, Pa.; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2003, at Oakey's North Chapel with Rev. Timothy Anderson officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Altar Guild, 1008 Highland Avenue, SW, Roanoke, Va. 24016.
