Albert Sutherlin.

Albert Sutherlin, aged 70, died Tuesday in Steamboat Springs, where he was brought last week for treatment. He had long been in a serious condition from kidney trouble, and his death had been expected for some time. Mr. Sutherlin was a pioneer in Routt county, having come here over 35 years ago. He first owned a ranch on Middle creek, 10 miles west of Oak Creek, but for the past 10 years had been located on Mecklenberg mesa, near the southwestern corner of Twentymile park. He had a homestead there, upon which he was to have made final proof on July 23.

No arrangements for the funeral have yet been made, as efforts are being exerted to locate relatives. He recently made a will leaving his property to a sister, Mrs. Emma Dodd, whose address he gave as Crawfordsville, Ind., but no reply has been received to messages sent to her from there. Mr. Sutherlin had many friends throughout the southern portion of the county, and was held in high regard by all.
