Sidney Gary Peacock of Marianna died Sept. 18, 2002.
He was a native of Altha but had lived most of his life in Jackson County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marianna. He was the owner/broker of Peacock Real Estate for more than 23 years. He owned and operated Westside Dairies in Marianna for over 20 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club for more than 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Seay Peacock of Marianna; two sons, Sidney Gary Peacock Jr. and wife, Lori, of Atlanta, Christopher Seay Peacock and wife, Ellen, of Orlando; three brothers, Drew Peacock and John K. (Sonny) Peacock, both of Altha, Wallace Peacock of Chattahoochee; two sisters, Elizabeth Bailey of Altha, Evelyn Gainey of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Elizabeth Bailey of Altha, Evelyn Gainey of Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 20 at the First Baptist Church in Marianna with Rev. Michael Petty officiating. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. James & James Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel of Marianna was in charge.
