ARGOS — Elizabeth (Morris) Bailey, 75, of State Road 10, Argos, died Jan. 1, 2011 at 1:01 a.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. She had been in declining health for several years.
She was born June 30, 1935 in Morgan County, Ky., to Cletus and Alta (Sargent) Morris and lived in the Argos community since 1984.
She married David F. Wallace Sr. they were divorced later. She then married Clifford Bailey in Winchester, Ky. in 1984. They both preceded her in death.
She was a seamstress at Hart, Schaffner & Marx in Rochester, retiring after 28 years.
She is survived by four daughters: Darlene Barcus and husband Robert Sr. of Argos, Cathy Martz and husband William of Tippecanoe, Pamela Bodine of Knox, and Sheri Becker of Leesburg; four sons: John Wallace and wife Judy of Tippecanoe, David F. Wallace Jr. of Bourbon, Jesse J. Wallace of Rochester, and Donald L. Wallace and wife Judy of Rochester; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Sam Morris and wife Alverta of Pennsylvania; three sisters: Cora Kruzick, Nola Conley, and Sue Penley, all of Plymouth; and half-brother, Frank Morris and wife Jackie of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a son, William Ray Wallace; two brothers; two sisters; grandson, James Wilson; and granddaughter, Sarah Casey.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, Jan. 4 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, and one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 at the funeral home with Chaplain Tom Padberg of the Center for Hospice Care officiating.
Burial will follow at Walnut Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Argos
