Ethel Taggart Christensen, age 88, died January 2, 2011 of heart failure. She resided at 335 East Peach Lane (600 South) in Bountiful, Utah at the time of her death.

She was born January 13, 1922, the daughter of Bruce Taggart and Norma Josephine Christensen Taggart.

She is survived by her five children, Karen Cushing, Becky (Jon K. Barlow), Robert T. Christensen, Norma (Martin H. Blundell), Charles T. Christensen (Carmen); twenty-three grandchildren; and fifty great-grandchildren. Even though she was the eldest, all her siblings died before she did: Jeanette Taggart Holmes, Valene Taggart Hansen, Charles Bruce Taggart, and Joanne Taggart Bach.

Ethel considered her family her greatest joy. As her children grew, she served in all the auxiliaries of the Church in a variety of assignments, but her most enjoyable years were those working with the youth, and temple work. Declining health prohibited most activities in recent years. Fortunately, she had good vision and was able to enjoy good books.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2011 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, where a viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
