Mrs. Lily Wickliffe Turner, 63, wife of Mr. Henry R. Turner, of the Bank of Campbellsville, died Sunday night at St. Anthony's Hospital in Louisville following an operation for appendicitis. Mrs. Turner had been sick only about a week, and her death came as a surprise to many friends throughout this section. She was a member of the Campbellsville Presbyterian Church and active in its work, and the Campbellsville Woman's Club. Mrs. Turner was a daughter of the late Mr. John D. and Mrs. Alice Trabue Wickliffe, of Bardstown. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. L. T. West and Mrs. Elliott Brooks; and three sons, Messrs. G. R. Turner, John N. Turner, Jr., and H. R. Turner, Jr.; one brother, Mr. Trabue Wickliffe, of Kewanee, Ill.; and three sisters, Mrs. L. L. Winchester, Miss Mary Wickliffe, of Anchorage, and Miss Alice Wickliffe, of Tennessee. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Alfred Erickson. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Linney Coppock, Woodruff Mitchell, Harry Wood, Richard Marshall, Dr. M. M. Hall and Ralph Parrott.
