Miss Ann Logan Wickliffe was born on September 15, 1882 in Bardstown, Kentucky, the daughter of John D Wickliffe (1838-1922) and his 2nd wife Mary ( -- ) Wickliffe (1858-1919). John was married 1st on December 18, 1866 to Alice Trabue (1840-1975), and although the 1900 census would have him married to his 2nd wife Mary about 1873, the 1910 census places it at about 1877.]

A railroad office secretary and a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, Ann was 56 years old and single when she accidentally drowned on April 29, 1939 in the Cumberland River off Cleese Ferry Road in the Cleese Ferry community: Although originally listed as a suicide when the car she was driving went off the road and into the river, the cause of death was later changed "to accidental by order of the Davidson County Chancery Court." Burial was on May 1st in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
