Fred B. Jones
Fred Burton Jones, 77, of 2539 Jefferson, died this morning at the McKay Hospital of pneumonia.
Mrs. Jones was born Dec 21, 1896 in Liberty, Utah, a son of Richard L. and Clara Judkins Getchal Jones.
On Jan 11, 1920 he was married to Edna L. Davidson in Pleasant View, Utah. They were later divorced. He had been a switchman for the Ogden Union Railway and Depot Co., retiring in 1962 and had worked for the Dee Hospital several years after retiring. He spent his early life in Liberty and Eden, and had lived most of his life in Ogden.
He attend school in Ogden valley and also attended Weber Academy. He had been a elder in the Ogden 5th LDS Ward. He was a member of the Union Pacific Old Timers Club and Brotherhood of railroad Trainmen Lodge 293. He was a lifetime member of BPO Elks 719 and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2472.
Surfing are one daughter, Mrs. Willard C. (Norma) Hanson, Ogden; five grandchildren and seven great - grandchildren; one sisters Mrs. John A. (Jeanette) Brown, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Funeral services will be announced by Lindquist and Sons Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Weber State college Health Occupation Scholarship Fund. or the Mckay-Dee Hospital Foundation.
