Last Rites Today For Mrs. Deal
Gloucester - Funeral services for Mrs. Malinda Coates Deal, 85, widow of Robert Lee Deal, who died Thursday in a Mathews nursing home after a long illness, will be held at 3 p.m. today at Severn Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Norman G. Price, pastor of Severn Presbyterian Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Eugene P. Brewer, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Deal is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Sebern Haden of Norfolk, Mrs. Warren Cox of Evansville, Ind., Miss Miriam Diehl of Naxera, and Mrs. Collin McCarty of Rochester. Minn.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Sam Sterling and Mrs. Florence Sterling, both of Naxera; two sons, J. Paul Deal of James Store and Sebern Deal of Naxera; two stepsons, S. G. Deal and Noah Deal, both of Naxera; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
The body will remain at Bridges Funeral Home, Gloucester, until 1 p.m. today.
