The remains of Miss Bland, who died at Santa Rosa hopsital on Tuesday, from consumption, were buried yesterday. The details of her death are of an affecting character. Miss Bland's health was improving and she was well enough to ride out on Monday, but it was unfortunately the last blaze of the lamp of life ere it was extinguished forever. The change came quickly and the sisters soon perceived that death was at hand. The therefore telegraphed to her father, who resides at Rockdale. The telegram arrived too late for departure by the ordinary train, and Mr. Bland was not able to charter a special train. He had therefore no alternative than to come on by the freight train. Meanwhile Miss Bland lay anxiously expecting a last farewell. He came not, and her spirit passed into eternity without the desired meeting, but she had scarcely been dead a half hour when the bereaved parent arrived, and stood beside the bier of his beloved dead.
