Davis "Doc" Perry, 85, of Plainview passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Manuel Rodriguez officiating and the Rev. Robert Malcom assisting. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-7 p.m. today, Jan. 4, 2011, at the funeral home.

Mr. Perry was born April 19, 1925, in Blanchard, Okla., to William and Fanny Williamson Perry. He married Zelma Brown on Feb. 16, 1946, in Plainview. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1943-45. He enjoyed activities at the Senior Citizens Center. He was a great husband, Daddy and "Papa."

He is survived by his wife, Zelma Perry of Plainview; three daughters, Linda Peoples of Granbury, Sandra Weaver of Plainview and Cindy Clayton of Plainview; two sons, Mike Perry of Leander and Steve Perry of El Campo; two brothers, Arnold Perry of Tulia and Jim Perry of Plainview; two sisters, Gennette White of Plainview and Oda Collins of Odessa; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
