L. M. Landis Dies At Home of Son at Trinidad Sunday
L. M. Landis, former resident of Fort Collins died in Trinidad Sunday at the age of 85 years.
He was born in Circleville, Ohio, March 3, 1844, and in 1886 moved from Iowa to Fort Collins. He lived on a ranch at Livermore for about thirty years, until 1890, when he purchased the pioneer place at Laported from William Taylor. He moved to Fort Collins in 1897 and farmed for several years.
The wife of the deceased, Nettie Riddle, who died March 10, 1921, was a sister of Mrs. S. L. Warren of Laporte.
Mr. Landis was a member of the G. A. R. and is survived by one son, Pierce Landis, of Triniday.
Funeral services will be held at the Balmer mortuary Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Earl Cranston Wright officiating. Interment will be at Grandview cemetery.

**Besides the reversal of his initials and the obvious mispelling of the Landes surname, Nettie Riddle Landes died Mar. 10, 1920, not 1921. Also the number of years spent on his ranch does not correspond with his actual time spent in Larimer County-tlh
