Mrs. Vest was born August 15, 1912, near Novelty, Missouri, and had lived in Florence most of her life.
She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 328, Killen, since 1960. She was a member of St. Florian Mission Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Harris and Lillie Mae Cockrum Harris; husband, Chastin Vest; sisters, Mary Sue Murray and Lena Winget; brothers, Gordon Harris and Dallas Harris.
The family will receive friends at Elkins Funeral Home from 10-11 a.m. today. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Stroupe Cemetery, Lawrence County, Alabama.
She is survived by a nephew, Leon Murray and his wife, Phyllis, Edina, Missouri; three great-nieces, Sheree Prebe, Edina, Missouri, Pamela Boling, Lentner, Missouri, and Audrey Hamlin, Edina, Missouri; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
