Rutha Mae Pursselley, 80, of Pleasant Hope died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 in her home.
The daughter of Willie Edward and Elizabeth Emerine Wallace Billingsly, she was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Hammond.
She and John Robert Pursselley were married April 5, 1950. John Robert preceded her in death Feb. 2, 2010.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, Dick Wallace, Buster Billingsly, Luther Billingsly, James Billingsly and Joe Billingsly; and one sister, Mary Burton.
She was a homemaker and was employed for several years as a financial secretary in the Baptist Bible Fellowship missions office. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Robbi and David Almanzar of Canon City, Colo., Krista and Kenneth Dowell of Managua, Nicaragua, and Scott and Cheryl Pursselley of Bolivar; one sister, Judy Haskins and husband Ron of Theodoshia; one brother, Gene Billingsly of Theodoshia; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar, with Pastor David Almanzar and Pastor Ken Dowell officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons Jonathan Almanzar, Jordan Almanzar, Cody Almanzar, Jason Eutsler, Eli Dowell, Cory Barker, James Pursselley and Caleb Pursselley. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Iglesia Bautista Amistad building fund, checks payable to Ken Dowell, in care of Murray Funeral Home, PO Box 506, Bolivar MO 65613.
