He also had half-siblings Harriet, Selah Austine (1833-1839), and Delissa by his father's first wife Delissa Alford. He married Nellie Whitlock Burgner on 22 November 1870 in Lucas County. They had a daughter Nettie. After Nellie's death in 1889, his second wife was Ella Thurston married on 22 October 1891 in Wood County. Alonzo was a farmer and the family lived at Bacon Landing near Grand Rapids, Ohio.
