Suggested edit: You will notice in the notes on the Find a Grave site for Mabel's mother, Lela Elizabeth Fergerson that the surname there is spelled as Loveless. When Cooper, Mabel's father, married Lela, he used the Loveless spelling. Somewhere, after they moved from Texas, following Lela's death, either in Oklahoma or later in California, where Cooper went - the spelling was changed to Lovelace.
