(March 3, 1930 - December 27, 2010)

Died Monday, December 27, 2010, at Annapolis Hospital after an extended illness with his loving family at his side. He was born March 3, 1930, in Whitsburg, Kentucky, the son of William and Betty (Collins) Adams. In 1957, he married Henrietta Cook in Whitesburg, Kentucky, and she survives. Mr. Adams was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army where he served at the end of the Korean War and was a member of the V.F.W. In Whitesburg, KY. He attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Ypsilanti and will always be remembered for his love of family, golfing and fishing. Survivors besides his loving wife include two children: Deborah Hazey of Batton Rouge, Louisiana, and Charles Ray Adams of Belleville; one brother, William H. Adams Jr. Of Plainsfield, Indiana; 3 sisters: Inez Adams and Billie Lois Adams of Whitsburg, KY and Ruth (Jim) Collins of Willis, MI; a host of loving nieces and nephews of which two were like siblings, Bob Breeding and Georgia Fay Swims. He was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. At Janowiak Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Burrell of Living Waters Community Baptist Church of Ypsilanti Twp., officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Belleville, MI. Contributions in his memory may be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church or the American Red Cross. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, from 4:30 p.m. Until 9:30 p.m.
