Henrietta Weets was born March 12, 1915, in Friesland, Germany. In 1922, she moved to the United States. She moved to Iowa, where she attended school. She moved to Ulen, Minn., where she worked in potato fields and on the family farm. On Nov. 29, 1937, she married Clarence Gunderson in Detroit Lakes. They moved to Detroit Lakes, where she worked as a waitress at the White System. She also worked for Greystone Laundry, Swift and Co., Skelly Café and Mickey's Café. She retired in 1989. He died in 1982. She recently entered the nursing center.
She is survived by a son, Clarence (Rosie), Detroit Lakes; a daughter, Donna (DuWayne) Christianson, Fergus Falls, Minn.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tonight from 5 to 7 in David-Donehower Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes, and Saturday from 2 to 3 in First Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes.
Funeral: Saturday at 3 in the church.
Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes
