Services for John D. Cravey, 68, 1905 W. Pierce St., are pending at Denton Funeral Home. He died today at a local nursing home.
Mr. Cravey was born on Oct. 27, 1921, in Center, Texas, and grew up on a farm in that area. He came to Carlsbad in 1939 and worked for M.C. Moore Plumbing before his employment with IMCC.
Survivors include three daughters, Becky Jean DeMoss, Carlsbad, Dee Ann Cravey, Albuquerque, and Sharon Cravey, Las Cruces; four brothers, Alex Cravey, El Cajon, Calif., Audie and Robert Cravey, both of Center, Texas, and Garvin Cravey, Carlsbad; four sisters, Evie Hensley, Alabama, Fay Sanders, Center, Texas, and Jewel Cravey and LaWanda Bell, both of San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
