Historical Note: It is unclear, and possibly unknown, from records whether this plane crashed on June 20th or 21st, 1944. They left Nassau on June 20th at 4:00 pm and the trip to Charleston normally took 8 hours which would mean they should have arrived at approximately 12:00 midnight. The last radio report was at 8:42 pm when they noted they were south of Jacksonville, Florida and on course.
