Stella Maxine Hefner
Stella Maxine Hefner, 82, of Covelick Road, Weston, died Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, Weston, following an extended illness.
She was born March 31, 1925, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Elasha Metz and Stella Dooley Metz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Oras Cledith Hefner on November 30, 1997; one son, Lash Hefner; one son-in-law, Earl Wood; and siblings, Cora Musser, Mary Neal, Harley Metz, Earl Metz, George Metz, Claude Metz and John Metz.

She was Methodist by faith and attended Bealls Mill United Methodist Church.
Friends were received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 5, at the Boyle Funeral Home, 322 Main Avenue, Weston, WV. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, at the Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Gum officiating. Interment followed in Old Field Fork Cemetery, Lewis County.
