Patricia "Patty" Ann Paugh, 82, of Weston, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. She was born in Copley, WV on September 17, 1940, daughter of the late Oras and Stella Maxine (Metz) Hefner. Patty was united in marriage to Holly Ray Paugh, who preceded her in death on May 12, 2009.
Cherishing the life of Patty are her 3 children, Pamela J. Bates and husband Robert, Jr. of Ocoee, FL, Michael J. Paugh of Weston, WV, and Brenda L. Paugh and fiancé Timothy Mowery of Weston, WV, 6 grandchildren; Shannon Rae Merrill, Dustin Robert Bates, Travis Dale McCloy, Toshua Short, Michael Paugh, Jr., and Rachel Perez, 2 great grandchildren, Caleb James Merrill and Braxton Allen Short, 2 brothers, Bobby Hefner of Copley, WV and Eddie Hefner and wife Roberta of Jennings Run, WV, 5 sisters; Carol Wiant of Copley, WV, Sandra Barnett and husband Junior of Weston, WV, Deborah Hefner of Buckhannon, WV, Lea Mock and husband Randy of North Carolina, and Kathy Nutt and husband Steve of Copley, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Holly, Patty was preceded in death by a brother, Lash Hefner, and sister, Marie Wood.
Patty was a graduate of Weston High School in 1958. She was a faithful member of Haleville Union Mission Church of Weston, WV. Patty enjoyed painting ceramics, quilting, and loved listening to gospel and bluegrass music. She enjoyed sitting on her porch enjoying the outdoors, either alone or with her neighbors. Patty's contagious smile will be missed by her family and friends.
Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston, WV on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Riffle officiating. Interment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV.
