Harriet Goodman Inglish was born in Morgan County near Barnett, Mo., March 21, 1864; died in Nelson, Mo., at the home of her daughter, Nov. 15, 1928, age 64 years, 7 months and 24 days. All of her children were present at her death.

She was the daughter of John and Susan Goodman and was reared to young womanhood on the farm of her birth.

She was married to S.R. Inglish who was reared on a farm nearby. They were friends from childhood. He will be remembered as having met his death in a railroad wreck at Knobnoster, MO., July 2nd 1908, having preceded her in death twenty years.

To this union five children were born: Lena B., wife of H.A. Smith of Nelson, Mo.; Douglas, who died in childhood; Paul E. and Mabyl B., wife of J.B. Crum, both of Vandalia, Mo.; Russell Edwin, who died in Olean at the age of eleven years. Besides here immediate family she leaves seven grandchildren, two brothers, Josiah and Charles Goodman of Barnett, Mo., and one sister, Mrs. W.H. Boan of Raton, New Mexico.

The funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Olean Christian Church; Rev. W. H. Scott, a former pastor, officiating. She was buried beside her husband at the Olean Cemetery.

With her passing, another pioneer mother and charter citizen of the village of Olean has fallen. Dear ones who lament her, she has blessed y our home and loved you—you have cherished and treasured her. She has been a shining light to brighten and cheer your household and your hearts. Yes, but she has blessed many another home and cheered full many a heart. Loving much, she was much loved. She will be no stranger in the beautiful home of God.
